In response to queries from many alumni and friends on how they can help the College and support essential works in confronting the COVID-19 pandemic, Imperial College London has launched the Imperial College COVID-19 Response Fund. This fund provide flexibility for the College to respond immediately to critical areas such as:
Vaccines – Prof Robin Shattock has developed a novel vaccine that is now in animal studies. Your help will support human clinical trials which will start as soon as possible.
Diagnostics – Prof Myra McClure has converted one of our laboratories into a NHS COVID-19 virus testing lab capable of testing 1,500 patients per day. Prof Chris Toumazou has developed a point-of-care COVID-19 test which requires no laboratory or special training to use.
Care – Support for our Faculty of Medicine students, doctors and many other staff volunteering at the front line of our NHS hospitals across west London.
